Misewell
Misewell was founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 2008 by brothers Vincent and Paul Georgeson. Both studied industrial design after growing up making things in their father's workshop. Their first furniture collection debuted at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in 2009, earning the ICFF Editors Award for New Designer.
In 2018, a collaboration with a local ceramicist on the Q Lamp introduced a new material to their practice. By 2020, the brothers had shifted their focus toward ceramic lighting and handcrafted home goods, establishing their own ceramics studio in Milwaukee. Today, a small team of artists and designers produces all of Misewell's ceramics by hand in-house, using stoneware and a palette of more than 30 glazes developed in the studio.
Misewell designs every piece in its collection, with production carried out in its own studio or by artists and craftspeople elsewhere in the United States. Its lighting incorporates globally sourced components, while every finished product is made in the USA. The brothers are still based in Milwaukee and work together every day.
